Zombie Prom and previous events

Last night we went to Fab Cafe's 'Zombie Prom'. We all dressed up and me and Hollie bought a big supply of face paints and Halloween goodies.  It was great, there were fire dancers and loads of amazing costumes.
Also they have replaced the spider man pinball with a 'Lord of the Rings' one. It's awesome, you can collect the whole fellowship by getting the ball in certain slots and sometimes the Balrog comes out and you have to hit it with the ball to defeat it.
This is a doodle I did on my thigh with eye liner because we watched cartoons when we got back from zombie prom and all the face paint stuff was still out. Far too tempting.

We had some friends staying over for the event and since we stayed up so late I wanted to avoid having to escort our guests out of the building when they got up to go. So I sat up and drew some instructions.
I've drawn little maps of some parts because all the halls here look pretty much the same and when you get lost it feels like your in the shining.

The car park. There are three gates out but only one that is button operated and people always manage to go to the wrong gate.

On Monday I went to the pre party for a 21st. And with it being the first day with my new camera I left it there and only managed to get it back yesterday. On the plus side I got to hold a tortoise while I was there so it was definitely worth it.

In the mean time I have actually managed to some drawing.
This is another one about my right head phone breaking. I still don't hvae new ones.

Most of my pens are almost wore down to the end so you just have to imagine that its all in black. I couldn't sacrifice that much ink.

Really digging this white pencil on parcel paper.
I've been crazy applying for jobs because my loan doesn't cover my rent so my parents are currently financing my groceries. There's a new food place opening called The Joint. They were having a recruitment day on Friday so I made this to staple to my CV to try and jazz it up. When I got there the senior manager was wearing a TMNT t-shirt and so was I so I think it went well.

I've been enjoying drawing my character like this. So I'm doing a couple pieces on student life and thinking of maybe working towards doing a screen print of three in a column on a rectangle of card. And then maybe that could be something I have on my table at Thought Bubble

In most of my sketch pads I've just been covering the pages in little drawings just making them up as I go along and now I do them all the time. I like them better because they get loads of potential things to develop.

I like this guys face. It's so gross.

I did a monsters page. I misplaced my pencil at this point so I drew in coloured pencil first. It's way better with coloured pencil, and I got a 24 pack of coloured pencils from ASDA's back to school range.

I like this guy, he looks like a prune zombie.

This one just has an unsettling smile.

Hollie got me some Berol brush tips for my birthday so I've been playing with those. Here is a decapitated moose.

I started my other pink pig sketch pad I bought and it turns out I'd already done some drawing in it earlier in the summer then forgotten about it.

Drew this crow on a boat. Felt pressured as multiple people were watching me so I did lots of little line so they lost interest but I really like how it turned out. All feathery and shiny.

Also I found this hidden in the corner of a page. Puns are always good.

For Jimmi's birthday in August I decided to make him a birthday cake and decorate it like the series we'd been watching together 'Attack on Titan'.

It didn't go as well as I hope, I thought it would just be like drawing but icing is hard to control. But it was super chocolatey and it all got eaten so it can't have been too bad.

Ealier in the summer I went to a RSPB bird watching place. We walked a path that went along the side of a lake. In the bird watching huts there was lots of graffiti of names and people declaring their presence on a certain year. So I drew some birds on it so there was some relevant graffiti.

To finish off I thought I'd just do a reel of some stuff I've been looking at tonight and saving to my ever growing illustration folder that needs to have sub categories put in.

It's Jawsome!

This sign obeys it's own rule.

I've been applying a lot lately and I understand these emotions.

These Beetlejuice tattoos are just beautiful.

This is a comic where having an animated part made the joke so much better.

To end look how lovely this Australian Western Pygmy Possum is.

Man Cat

This was hidden in my Illustration bookmark folder and I had completely forgotten about it. I like it because:
1. Its seriously weird humour and apparently my humour as well.
2. I like his texture and I really like that the title is made out of it.
3. I'm not sure how I feel about his face, the eyes are kind of cute because they're all big and black but then his face is so serious. It reminds me of batman.
4. Its cat related
5. I really like the colours when he blows his head off. Its such aesthetically pretty gore

Daily Comics ERROR 404

So yesterday's comic used the last page in my sketch pad. The rest of my sketch pads are all in my flat in Leeds and here I am 138 miles away in north Wales (I Google mapped it so I could be accurate). So for now the daily comics shall have to be on break until I go back to Leeds which I might do on Tuesday or Wednesday, not yet decided.
In the mean time I thought I'd post a couple of things I've been doing over the summer.

First off I spent A LOT of time over at my boyfriend's house...like in the first month I'd moved back in with my parents I think I stayed there for 3-4 nights tops. Here some sketch pads he bought me, specially picked out because 'its got illustration on it'. Which I think is a fair way to look for presents for me.
So far I've only drawn in the one with the rolled up mouse on. I decided to make it specifically for creatures, it was going to be animals but then this is the first thing I drew in it
My favourite page I ever drew in this though was my bird page, where for the first time this summer I actually used reference. Mainly due to the fact I realised that with the new phone I got I can use wifi and I wanted to test it out.
The red one was just when I got the train with Hollie and she had a new pen that I wanted to try.

Speaking of Hollie she came to Jimmi's (the boyfriend) birthday do and we were going to play drawing games. But after setting the theme of monsters Hollie promptly fell asleep so I carried on drawing alone.

This little guy is my favourite I imagine that when he's walking you would hear a little tinkling noise because his feet are so dainty.

To finish off this post I give you a comic I drew in the car. Jimmi decided he'd had the best idea ever and I made this to prove to others that he is just plain crazy. This sounds like something a psychopath would serve.

Daily Comics #2

So I didn't spend that long on today's comic. For most of the day we've had family round and I've finally met the sproglets (my two nephews). So it's been quite hectic, there's been a lot of screaming, shouting, running around and good food.

In the afternoon they took a day trip out to a castle so I decided to stay in with the hopes of completing some work. Instead I decided to order my bookmarks bar, probably a waste of my time but it looks so neat and tidy now that I don't care.

Here are some of my favourite forgotten saves that were lost in the muddle of bookmarks.

Under Illustration:

Under Recipes:

Bacon, Egg and Cheese Brunch Ring

Fresh  Vegetable Pasta Skillet

Bacon and Nutella stuffed Bread

Pizza Fries

Tattoo folder

And finally I made a folder called pretty things. For stuff that's just good to look at.

This wave is just really calming to look at.
Seems like a good picture to end this post on.
